About the Counselor

Meagan Krasner is a genetic counselor supporting Athena Diagnostics in Marlborough, MA. She specializes in molecular genetic testing focusing on the areas of neurology, endocrinology and nephrology.  She provides genetic consultation and support for external clients (medical specialists, genetic counselors, geneticists, laboratories) as well as for internal departments and staff.  She joined the Genetic Counseling Organization in 2014.

Prior to joining Athena, Meagan was a laboratory genetic counselor at Integrated Genetics in Westborough, MA and a clinical genetic counselor at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH, Women and Infant’s Hospital in Providence, RI and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.  In addition, she has worked as a consultant to the New England Regional Genetics and The Rhode Island Department of Health.

Meagan earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from The University of Pittsburgh and her master’s degree in genetic counseling from the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health. She is board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counselors, is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors, and is licensed in the state of Massachusetts.
